Making sense
of IT. Since 1992.
We're a team of real people who genuinely care about helping small businesses get the most from their technology — without the jargon, the surprises or the stress.

Proudly local.
Genuinely human.
ISS was founded in 1992 — before most of the internet existed. Anthony Gould started the business with a simple belief: that small businesses deserved the same quality of IT support as larger organisations, delivered by people who actually spoke plain English.
More than 30 years later, we're still based in Cranleigh, Surrey. The technology has changed beyond recognition. The belief hasn't. We still think IT support should be straightforward, honest and genuinely helpful — and we still pick up the phone.
Peter Mills joined as Managing Director and together they've built a team that reflects those same values: approachable, credible, principled and proven. We know our clients by name, and they know us. That's not an accident — it's a choice.
Mission, vision
and purpose.
Tech that works. Support that shows up.
We deliver technology that works, support that shows up when you need it, and advice that makes sense — for businesses of up to 50 staff across Surrey and Sussex. And we know it works, because we use the same tools ourselves.
Helping small businesses gain a competitive edge.
To help small businesses succeed by providing the technology solutions and IT support they need to work smarter, improve faster, build resilience and gain a competitive edge — without needing a dedicated IT department to do it.
Values aren't just
words on a wall.
They shape how we work, how we treat people, and how we make decisions every day. They're the reason our customers trust us, our team enjoys working here, and our business keeps growing.
We're not just fixing tech. We're with you, we're listening, and we put your people first. No jargon, no condescension — just genuine help from people who care about getting it right.
Solving the same problems we've helped others avoid. Over 30 years of experience isn't just a number — it's the reason we can tell you what's going to go wrong before it does.
We play fair, keep our word, and do what's best — even when it's the harder option. When an ex-client accidentally sent us £35,000, we returned it the same day. That's how we operate.
If we don't use it, we won't recommend it. We run our own business on the same tools and platforms we stand behind. That keeps us honest and our advice genuinely grounded.
The people who
lead the team.
ISS is led by two people who've spent their careers making IT genuinely useful for small businesses. Between them, they bring over five decades of experience in the South-East.
Peter leads ISS with a focus on strategy, growth and making sure the team delivers consistently excellent service. He's passionate about helping small businesses use technology to compete — and equally passionate about the importance of switching off when the day's done.
You'll often find him writing about business and IT on LinkedIn, or exploring the Scottish Highlands in his 1998 Audi Cabriolet.
Anthony founded ISS in 1992 with a simple idea: that small businesses deserved proper IT support delivered by people who spoke plain English. More than 30 years later, he still works directly with clients, building the long-term relationships that keep them coming back.
His depth of experience — and his ability to explain anything without jargon — is something our clients consistently tell us sets ISS apart.
The people who
answer the phone.
Every person on our team is here because they're genuinely good at what they do — and because they care about getting it right. No scripts, no call centres, just real people.
